Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.

Leads a specialized area which may have diverse functional elements. Frequently interacts with supervisors and/or functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically one year of software engineering or related experience.

Part of Oracle Utilities Work and Asset Management (WAM) team for analysis, design, and development, coding and implementation, Code Reviews, Junit test development, build management and automation, bug fixing, product releases, and post-release customer support as needed of various modules and subsystems of the product. You will be managing the development team and responsible for coordinating with Product Managers, Product Owners, and Architects for understanding the designs and ensuring the requirements and acceptance criteria are fulfilled. You will also be responsible for coordinating with the documentation teams for reviewing the documentation for technical accuracy and helping them understand the features. Education: B.E./M.Tech in Computer science or related field skills required:

• Strong knowledge in core java programming, good experience in J2EE concepts, XML, Hibernate, SQL/PL SQL, UI programming (HTML, JS, CSS)
• Excellent Debugging skills using Java debugging and Web Developer tools
• Experience in REST/Web services. Must be able to use all web methods like GET, PUT, POST, DELETE etc. and understanding of SOAP
• Test Frameworks: Junit
• IDEs: Eclipse
• Application servers: Weblogic
• Experience and knowledge in Build Tools: Hudson, Ant, Maven, basics of Shell/PERL/Python scripting and basic knowledge of Unix/Linux
