The Alexa Food team owns Alexa recipe curation, cooking library management, and personalization of each customer's unique tastes and restrictions. As we continue to execute on our Alexa+ vision for Food, we are seeking passionate individuals who thrive in dynamic environments and are eager to shape the future of Food for our customers.



As a member of our innovative team, you will play a pivotal role in crafting immersive Food experiences across various devices and endpoints. We have a number of new experiences we're building in 2026 and your contributions will directly impact millions of users worldwide in executing your charter.



You will get the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art LLM and GenerativeAI models in this role as you create delightful experiences.



Key job responsibilities

You will set goals, define, develop and realize the roadmap, identify resource requirements and hire against it, develop the careers of engineers, deliver high-quality software that exceeds customer expectations, write documents to communicate vision, project status and operational reviews, and maintaining operational excellence of the system you own.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

3+ years of engineering team management experience 7+ years of engineering experience 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations Experience partnering with product or program management teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy Experience with GenAI and LLMs for creating customer experiences
