Summary: As a Software Development Lead, you will be responsible for developing and configuring software systems, either end-to-end or for specific stages of the product lifecycle. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various teams, applying your knowledge of technologies and methodologies, and ensuring that the software solutions meet client requirements effectively and efficiently. You will engage in problem-solving and decision-making processes that contribute to the overall success of the projects you oversee. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to be an SME. - Collaborate and manage the team to perform. - Responsible for team decisions. - Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions. - Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams. - Facilitate knowledge sharing and mentoring within the team to enhance overall performance. - Monitor project progress and ensure alignment with client expectations and project goals. Professional & Technical Skills: - Power BI Expertise: Strong understanding of Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and related concepts like DAX, Power Query, Security and data modelling. - BI Architecture design: Experienced in BI architecture design, reporting framework design, self-service strategy - BI Standards; Experience in setting visualization standards, template designs and interactivity guidelines - Microsoft Fabric Knowledge: Familiarity with Fabric components like OneLake, Lakehouse's, Data Warehouses, Pipelines and sematic models. - Data Modelling & Reporting: Ability to design and implement star schemas and other data models for efficient analysis. Develop visually compelling reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Power BI. - Data Integration: Connecting Power BI to various data sources, including those within Fabric (like Data Warehouse, Lakehouse) and external systems. - Troubleshooting, testing and Optimization: Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, ensuring efficient data processing and report rendering. Conduct quality assurance testing to validate report accuracy - Documentation: report specifications, data sources, and transformation processes. - Security and Compliance: Ensure security and compliance standards are met. - SQL: Intermediate knowledge of SQL for querying and manipulating data. - User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Facilitating UAT sessions with stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure the reports meet their needs. - Communication and Collaboration: Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
