Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Microcontroller Lead to architect and lead the development of embedded software and hardware platforms based on automotive-grade microcontrollers. The ideal candidate will drive system design, integration, and validation across ECUs for body control, powertrain, chassis, and safety systems, ensuring compliance with automotive standards and performance requirements. The role requires strong technical depth in AUTOSAR, RTOS, and low-level MCU software, with the ability to guide engineers through architecture, coding, debugging, and integration. Roles & Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities: oLead the architecture, design, and development of microcontroller-based embedded systems for automotive ECUs. oDefine software and hardware interfaces, memory maps, and peripheral configurations. oCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sensors, actuators, and communication protocols. oDrive compliance with ISO 26262 (functional safety), ASPICE, and cybersecurity standards (ISO 21434). oOversee firmware development including bootloaders, drivers, and diagnostics. oManage microcontroller selection, configuration, and performance optimization. oInterface with Tier-1 suppliers, silicon vendors, and OEMs to align platform requirements. oMentor and guide embedded engineers across multiple vehicle programs. oOwn the microcontroller platform roadmap and contribute to ECU strategy. oLead Base SW design, coding, and integration on MCU platforms. oConfigure, integrate, and debug AUTOSAR Classic/Adaptive modules (MCAL, BSW stack). oDevelop and optimize RTOS-based systems ensuring deterministic real-time performance. oImplement and review low-level drivers, bootloaders, diagnostics, and safety mechanisms. oPerform hands-on debugging using emulators, debuggers, trace tools, and oscilloscopes. oCollaborate with hardware and systems engineers for board bring-up and HW/SW validation. oEnsure compliance with ISO 26262, ASPICE, and automotive cybersecurity requirements. oMentor team members in problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization. oWork closely with cross-functional teams across globe Professional & Technical Skills: o8-12 years' embedded software experience, with at least 3 years in a technical lead capacity. oStrong expertise in AUTOSAR Classic (MCAL, BSW configuration, integration); knowledge of Adaptive AUTOSAR is a plus. oStrong experience in embedded C/C++ development for automotive-grade microcontrollers (e.g., Infineon, NXP, Renesas, STMicroelectronics). oDeep understanding of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet). oExperience with real-time operating systems (RTOS), bare-metal programming, and low-level debugging. oFamiliarity with functional safety concepts and tools (e.g., FMEA, fault injection). oKnowledge of calibration, diagnostics (UDS), and flash bootloaders. oDeep hands-on experience with RTOS (OSEK, FreeRTOS, QNX, or similar). oHands-on experience with RTOS-based software and microcontroller architectures (Infineon, NXP, Renesas, etc.). oStrong knowledge of microcontroller families (Infineon Aurix, NXP S32, Renesas RH850, TI Hercules, etc.). oFamiliarity with testing frameworks and HIL systems. oStrong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a cross functional team. oGood problem-solving and analytical skills. oExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.
