Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Base Software Linux Lead to architect and lead the development of embedded Linux platforms for automotive ECUs and domain controllers. The ideal candidate will drive the integration of foundational software components, ensuring performance, safety, and scalability across infotainment, ADAS, and vehicle control systems. Roles & Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities: oLead the design and development of embedded Linux base software for automotive platforms (Qualcomm, NXP, TI, Renesas,...). oArchitecture and conceptualization of overall system architecture, bootloader, Kernel, device drivers oDefine and maintain BSPs, bootloaders, kernel configurations, and device drivers. oCollaborate with hardware, middleware, and application teams to ensure seamless integration. oDrive compliance with automotive standards including ISO 26262, ASPICE, and cybersecurity (ISO 21434). oOptimize system performance, boot time, and resource utilization. oManage Yocto-based Linux distributions and custom build environments. oInterface with Tier-1 suppliers, silicon vendors, and OEMs to align platform requirements. oMentor and guide a team of embedded Linux engineers across multiple vehicle programs. oOwn the base software roadmap and contribute to platform strategy oConduct testing and debugging of functionalities to ensure functionality and quality. oDiagnosing and troubleshooting system issues. oWork closely with cross-functional teams across globe Professional & Technical Skills: Technical Experience: oOverall, 12+ years of experience in Infotainment domain with experience in Android Development. oStrong experience in embedded Linux development (Yocto, Buildroot, etc.). oExpertise in kernel development, device drivers, and low-level debugging. oFamiliarity with automotive hardware platforms (ARM, x86, RISC-V). oExperience with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet). oKnowledge of secure boot, OTA update mechanisms, and system diagnostics. oExcellent leadership, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills. oExperience in Hypervisor based architecture oProficiency in Embedded C, C++ programming languages. oExcellent problem solving and debugging skills. oKnowledge in working with Infotainment setup. oKnowledge in cloud platform oStrong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a cross functional team. oGood problem-solving and analytical skills. oExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.
