Job Title: Software Developer - Implementation & Support
Location: Chennai
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Software Developer to join our IT team, focusing on software development, implementation, and support. This role involves handling user queries, updating database tables, fixing bugs, and writing scripts for automation and feature development. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth software functionality and continuous improvement of our systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with internal teams and end-users to understand and resolve software-related queries.
Access and update database tables as required for application support or data correction.
Perform software bug fixing in existing applications and systems.
Write, test, and deploy scripts and modules for process automation, reporting, or application enhancement.
Participate in new feature development, testing, and implementation.
Conduct root cause analysis for reported issues and recommend long-term solutions.
Ensure all changes and updates follow standard coding and documentation practices.
Work closely with QA, DevOps, and project stakeholders to support software releases.
Assist in software deployment and post-deployment support activities.
Maintain source code repositories and version control using tools such as Git.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
7 to 12 years of experience in software development and support.
Solid knowledge of SQL and experience in working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server).
Experience in any modern programming/scripting languages
Familiarity with software development methodologies
Knowledge of bug tracking and project management tools
Skills:
