Summary: As a Software Development Engineer, you will engage in a variety of tasks that involve analyzing, designing, coding, and testing multiple components of application code across various clients. Your typical day will include collaborating with team members to ensure the successful implementation of software solutions, addressing maintenance and enhancement requests, and contributing to the overall development process. You will be involved in problem-solving and troubleshooting to ensure the applications meet client requirements and function optimally. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems. - Assist in the documentation of software specifications and design. - Engage in code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to standards. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Cobol Mainframe. - Strong understanding of mainframe architecture and programming. - Experience with debugging and performance tuning of Cobol applications. - Familiarity with database management systems and data manipulation. - Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Cobol Mainframe. - This position is based at our Hyderabad office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
