Summary: As a Software Development Engineer, you will engage in a dynamic work environment where you will analyze, design, code, and test various components of application code for multiple clients. Your day will involve collaborating with team members to ensure the successful implementation of software solutions, while also performing maintenance and enhancements to existing applications. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality code and contributing to the overall success of the projects you are involved in, ensuring that client requirements are met effectively and efficiently. Primarily responsible for the installation, maintenance and support of the API Platforms. Unified API Gateway is currently deployed on Azure (AKS) and On-premises (using GKE-on premise Anthos). Other responsibilities include supporting the API teams to build out new API proxies/enhance existing ones using automation pipelines. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide technical insights. - Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards. o Implements Enterprise API and Integration platforms strategy from a technical perspective, including design, planning, integration, maintenance, and support of hybrid (Cloud & On-prem) infrastructure architecture o Perform deployment/upgrades of APIGEE Hybrid on AKS clusters using existing automation written in Terraform/python scripts. o Perform deployment/upgrades of APIGEE X using existing automation written in Terraform o Enhance automation scripts (Terraform, Python, Ansible) to support APIGEE hybrid/X upgrades o Support AKS upgrades on the clusters used by APIGEE Hybrid o Perform periodic capacity planning/infrastructure expansion for APIGEE Hybrid/X o Monitoring, Alerting, Troubleshooting of APIS deployed on APIGEE Hybrid/X o Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the infrastructure on which the APIGEE Hybrid/X are deployed o Works closely with the API and Integration platforms architect(s) on activities such as API design, implementation, testing, production deployment and support o Identify technical dependencies and roadblocks proactively and work with cross-functional teams to remove them Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Apigee. - Good To Have Skills: Experience with Google Kubernetes Engine, Kubernetes. - Strong understanding of API management and integration techniques. - Experience with cloud-based application development and deployment. - Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile and DevOps. o Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent o 6+ years of Hands-on experience in Enterprise API Management and Integration Platforms like APIGEE Hybrid, Apigee X etc. o Hands-on cloud engineering experience (Azure, AWS and/or GCP) building effective cloud technology solutions o Experience in cloud architecture (cloud infrastructure, storage, networking, security, costing) o Experience installing, configuring, deploying, and maintaining API Management platforms like APIGEE Hybrid, Apigee X o Proficient in developing APIs in APIGEE, troubleshooting API failures o Experience with tools like Postman, JMeter etc. o Good understanding of XML, JSON, Web Service Technologies (SOAP, REST), OAuth 2.0, Basic Auth, JWT, SSO implementation, XML/JSON transformations, logging policies, KVM, Caching o Good understanding of implementation of CI/CD pipeline for Apigee o Expertise in Kubernetes to automate application deployment, scaling and, management o Experience with containerization o Experience with any of the Source Control Tools such as Bitbucket, Git Hub etc. o Experienced with languages such as Python, Go, Bash and/or PowerShell. o Solid understanding of AGILE principals and methodologies, with experience in the SCRUM and SAFe frameworks Preferred Certifications o Google certified professional Cloud Architect o Microsoft Azure certified Cloud Architect o Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) / Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) Certifications o Certifications in Terraform Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Apigee. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full time education is required. - 24 hours operational support
