Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)
You will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of Insurity applications across multiple platforms. The primary focus of the Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) is to support the Scrum team's efforts in automation and quality assurance. This role involves building proficiency in test automation, developing coding skills to assist with defect resolution and minor enhancements, and performing manual testing when automated coverage is not yet available. The SDET plays a key role in strengthening the team's overall testing capability and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software.
This role requires a strong commitment to developing both technical and business expertise, with a focus on the implementation of insurance processing solutions.
What Our SDET Will Do
Has competency of the quality core practices.
Work with scrum teams on the automation Strategy and the Tool Kit Selection.
Evaluating our current existing automation framework and test script collection, and drive continuous test coverage with minimal guidance
Work with the Scrum team to help shift left concepts
Analyze, troubleshoot, and report on automated test execution results including, regression issues, and/or performance issues with minimal guidance
Create concise, information-rich test execution and process documentation including testing artifacts, status, and test methodology documentation.
Provide estimates on test planning and execution activities.
Be code capable where you contribute to defect investigation and resolution with the scrum team.
Keep team, management, and project leaders informed of key concerns and issues, along with recommended solutions
Accountable for your individual KPI's, including data analysis and tracking quality metrics
Other duties as assigned within the scrum team
Who We're Looking For
Recommended 2 to 3 years as a manual tester
1 - 2 years of Automation Testing
Recommended Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience
Insurance industry experience preferred
Analytical and critical thinking
Written and oral English communication
Time management including work planning, prioritization, and organization
Ability to handle multiple priorities or tasks

Demonstrated experience testing SaaS solutions

UI automation technologies (Selenium, HP UFT).
REST and SOAP automation technologies (SoapUI, Postman).
JSON and XML
Experience with Test Management software (QTEST is a plus)
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office suite
