About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Software Development Engineer 2 (SD2) to join our cloud engineering team. You will play a key role in building, deploying, and supporting scalable cloud-native applications and infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in development, cloud technologies, and DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Contribute to the design and development of cloud-native applications using AWS services such as EC2, EKS, Aurora MySQL, S3, IAM, and Lambda. Work with Kubernetes and Helm to manage application deployments and configurations. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Docker, Jenkins, and AWS CodeBuild for automated build and release cycles. Write clean and maintainable code/scripts in Java or Python for backend services and infrastructure automation tasks. Support infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and adhere to best practices in infrastructure as code. Implement monitoring and alerting solutions using Prometheus and Grafana to ensure application reliability. Collaborate with team members across engineering and DevOps functions to deliver reliable and scalable systems. Follow coding, security, and performance standards to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Skills & Qualifications:

Solid understanding of cloud computing and cloud-native architecture. Experience with AWS services and containerized environments. Practical knowledge of Kubernetes and Helm. Proficient in at least one programming language - Java or Python. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and AWS CodeBuild. Working experience with Terraform or other IAC tools. Exposure to monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana. * Eagerness to learn, contribute, and work in a collaborative team environment.
