Job Summary: Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution (DMED) brings together the Company's best-in-class product, technology, and commercialization teams together into one global organization. DMED is responsible for the P&L management and all distribution, network and engineering operations, sales, advertising, data, and certain key technology functions worldwide for the Company's content engines. DMED also manages operations of the Company's streaming services including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+ and Disney+ Hotstar and domestic broadcast and cable television networks. Disney+ Hotstar is leading the way as the largest and smartest video platform in the country, reaching over 300 million users today. We have set a number of world records along the way - including for the highest concurrent viewership at 25.3 million during the ICC Cricket Worl d Cup 2019. About the Team Disney+ hotstar's Ad Platform is among the top Video Advertising Platforms in India and our aspiration is to make it the largest Video Advertising Platforms because no one knows Video-On-Demand, Live Sports and Ads like our Ad Tech team does. We have the opportunity to penetrate in countries outside of India where India's freemium model will work just like a charm What is the scope & responsibility of the Role You will build robust secure and scalable micro-services to power Hotstar applications You will be responsible to implement RESTful services with a metric-driven API Gateway You will ensure sub-second server response and will be responsible to implementrelational, document, key, object or graph data-stores, index stores and messaging stores as needed You will take ownership to run and maintain Cloud infrastructure You will continuously evaluate relevant technologies, influence and drive architecture and design discussions Skills/Strength of an Ideal Candidate Experience with micro web frameworks - like Play, Spring MVC, Node js, reactive programming Exposure in building RESTful APIs with monitoring, fault tolerance and metrics (with something like Hystrix) Experience with MySQL, NoSql (Cassandra, Redis, DynamoDB) Experience in server-side services using ElasticSearch and ESB - Camel, ActiveMQ Experience in JEE, Spring, Hibernate Hands-on with AJAX and Javascript Experience with AWS stack I deal Education & Experience B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science from a reputed college or related technical discipline with 2-4 years of experience in software development with strong expertise in Java Experience with micro web frameworks - like Play, Spring MVC, Node js, reactive programming Exposure in building RESTful APIs with monitoring, fault tolerance and metrics (with something like Hystrix) Experience with MySQL, NoSql (Cassandra, Redis, DynamoDB) Experience in server-side services using ElasticSearch and ESB - Camel, ActiveMQ Experience in JEE, Spring, Hibernate Hands-on with AJAX and Javascript Experience w ith AWS stack Our Values - We are customer obsessed - We are audacious in vision and action - We encourage honesty and open dialogue - We respect everyone and every point of view - We make objective and data-driven decisions - We believe trust and accountability go hand-in-hand - We invest in each other's growth - We bring our A-game and nothing else - We take charge and get it done The Perks - The glory.
