DESCRIPTION Job summary Do you want to be part of a team that manages over a million delivery vehicles helping in delivery of billions of packages world wide, making Amazon the largest and safest logistics company in the world If so, we are delivery-driven Fleet Management Team at Amazon, performing this successfully and helping Delivery Service Partners (DSPs) and Delivery Associates (DAs) by our solutions to their Logistics. The entire process is driven by Cloud Technologies and optimizations with aid of Machine Learning (ML) , Internet of Things (IOT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The candidate should have strong communication skills and ability to prioritize effectively to ensure timelines are met. Lastly, the candidate should have an ability to work effectively with cross-functional and global teams. Key job responsibilities As an SDE in the team, you will be responsible for, Playing a significant role in shaping the definition, vision, design, roadmap and development of product features from beginning to end with minimal support from peers. Ensuring the developed features are scalable and highly available with no quality concerns. Understanding the bigger picture of the product and contribute ideas. Work closely with peer engineers for refining the design and implementation. A day in the life You will be interacting with the team and discuss the technical challenges and support other team members as well. You will be participating in High Level and Low Level design discussions and strive to achieve the Operational Excellence. About the team The vision is to build a comprehensive, integrated, best-in-class asset management system that enables DSPs and internal customers to manage the fleet's entire vehicle lifecycle in a way that enforces safety and compliance, while maximizing vehicle utilization, minimizing manual effort and cost. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 1+ years of experience in software development Programming experience with at least one software programming language. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Development experience working with service oriented architectures, Fault-Tolerant distributed, cloud-scale and web-based solutions. Good Programming Skills with Object-Oriented Design. Experience working on the AWS technologies. Some experience working on Agile processes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience on Data Quality improvements preferred, but not mandatory.
