Job Description

• 4+ years of professional software development experience
• 3+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
• 2+ years of experience contributing to the system design or architecture (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead OR leading an engineering team

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Hands-on development background in C/C++ and/or Java on a Unix/Linux platform.
• Experience with developing APIs, Gateways, API Authentication & Authorization and Security frameworks
• Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis.
• English is a must. Our team is international and English is the day-to-day language.

We need engineers who can step into ambiguous problem and help us build and collaborate with multiple teams to support our B2B vision around the world. We are building new team, join us to be one of the founders. You will join a highly technical and entrepreneurial team building applications to disrupt the B2B Market. You will participate in the full development cycle, end-to-end, from design, implementation, and testing to documentation, delivery and maintenance. You will evaluate and make decisions around the use of new or existing technologies and tools, and you’ll coach and mentor junior development engineers. We work in an entrepreneurial environment and deliver value incrementally and frequently. We are still in the early stages , so you get the opportunity to be part of ideation stage and deciding the strategy for our growth. The ideal engineer for this space will be highly quantitative, have great judgment and passion for building a great customer experience, be inventive, and have a strong track record of delivery. You also have a pragmatic approach and iterative approach to building software: you have an ability to simplify and get things done with a demonstrated track record of building and delivering software and working effectively with external and internal teams. The expansion plan has opportunity to work with different AB teams which will give you broad exposure to AB along with career growth.

• The role has high potential growth that has opportunity to work with Sr. Engineering leadership (PE, Sr. SDE and Sr. Managers) across AB, consumer Prime and Marketing.
• The scope of the work spreads across multiple portfolio of products and services. It gives opportunity to get broader knowledge and experience of Amazon (buying experience, seller experience, Customer Acquisition, Account Management etc).
• You will establish and provide technical vision for strategies for plug & play architecture in launching features that spread multiple countries.
• You will apply Amazon innovation mechanisms and AWS technologies including native AWS, machine learning, and more at scale.
• You get be part of new team and shape the culture of the team.

• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Experience with distributed computing and enterprise-wide systems
• Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
• Experience influencing software engineers best practices within your team
• Hands-on expertise in many disparate technologies, typically ranging from front-end user interfaces through to back-end systems and all points in between
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
• You must be obsessed with addressing customer needs
• Open to work off-shift hours to collaborate with teams across US, Madrid and India.
