SonicWall is looking for a Senior Associate Software Engineer excited to work in the Network Security Manager engineering team. The Senior Associate Software Engineer role provides challenging opportunities and ample room for critical thinking. As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining SonicWall's award winning Network Security Manager products.

The position will be based out of Embassy Tech Village, campus in Devarabisanahalli, Bengaluru. This position reports to the Director of Software Engineering.

Role Responsibilities:

• Design and develop new software features with limited supervision
• Comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced, agile team environment
• Facilitate problem diagnosis and prompt resolution for issues reported by customers
• Maintain existing software features by implementing enhancements and fixing bugs
• Collaborate with other engineers on code reviews, test case reviews, and process enhancements
• Write functional and design specifications, and work with technical publications team for documentation needs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with different groups, teams and projects

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related field
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related field with software development experience
• 1 - 3 years of solid experience with modern programming languages and tools including GoLang, Python, Java, Node.js
• 1 - 3 years of strong experience in modern SQL and noSQL databases, such as mongoDB, MySQL and Redis
• Strong experience with REST API development
• Strong experience with UNIX or Linux operating systems
• Ability to quickly troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Good communication skills in English

Preferences:

• Prior knowledge and strong experience of GoLang and Python code development
• Prior knowledge and experience building micro-services based platform
• Prior knowledge and experience managing Kubernetes based application deployments
