Located in Hyderabad, India, FedEx ACC India serves as a strategic technology division for FedEx that will focus on developing innovative solutions for our customers and team members across the globe. These solutions will enhance productivity, minimize expenses, and update our technology infrastructure to continue providing the outstanding experiences our customers expect.
We are looking for a Senior Java Developer with 6+ years of hands-on experience in Java-based backend development and support. The ideal candidate will work within the Support Team and collaborate with support teams to ensure reliable and stable operations, which use Salesforce on the frontend and Java/REST APIs on the backend.
Key Responsibilities:
Root Cause Analysis & Major Incident Leadership:

• Own and lead investigation of critical incidents; analyze Java backend systems and API request flows initiated by Salesforce front-end interactions. Independently identify root causes and provide detailed technical directions to resolve issues promptly and prevent recurrence.

Break / Fix & Hotfix Oversight:

• Act as the technical reviewer and approver for vendor-delivered hotfixes and break/fix solutions. Ensure proper impact analysis, code correctness, rollback plans, and validation before changes are moved to production.

Cross-Team Collaboration:

• Serve as the technical liaison between internal product / application teams. Review proposed fixes, guide troubleshooting, provide technical clarity, and ensure solutions meet quality standards before deployment.

Release Validation & Production Readiness:

• Participate in pre-release and post-release validation cycles. Ensure that backend API integrations and Java components continue to work seamlessly with any changes introduced via internal releases.

Incident Management & Continuous Improvement:

• Engage in incident triage calls, provide technical assessments, prioritize resolution strategies, and mentor vendor support teams to enhance their diagnostic capabilities. Maintain focus on root cause elimination and service improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 6+ years of professional experience in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and backend architecture.
• Strong understanding of integration patterns with frontend systems like Salesforce, especially API-based communication.
• Basic admin-level knowledge of Salesforce to understand how user actions trigger backend calls.
• Proven experience working in application support, incident management, and fast-paced operational environments.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to understand business context and prioritize technical issues that impact BAU operations.
