For more details: About the Role: As an Apps Script Developer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimising scripts for various applications and services within the organisation. Apps Script is a JavaScript-based platform provided by Google Workspace that allows the automation and extension of Google\'s products, such as Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Drive, and more. Your expertise in Apps Script development will be crucial in enhancing productivity and efficiency across different departments. Job Responsibilities: Develop and implement Apps Script solutions to automate workflows and streamline processes within Google Workspace applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand the business needs for scripting solutions. Design, build, and deploy custom Apps Script projects tailored to specific business use cases. Troubleshoot and debug existing scripts to resolve issues and optimise performance. Integrate Apps Script with other Google Workspace services and third-party APIs to extend functionality. Stay up-to-date with the latest Apps Script updates, trends, and best practices to continually improve development processes. Conduct code reviews to ensure quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards. Provide technical support and guidance to end-users regarding script usage and functionality. Key Result Areas: Timely delivery of high-quality Apps Script projects that meet business requirements. Reduction of manual work and improvement of productivity through automation. Effective collaboration with stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Implementation of secure and scalable Apps Script solutions. Continuous enhancement and optimization of existing scripts for improved performance. Competencies (Skills essential to the role): Proficiency in JavaScript programming language. Strong experience with Google Apps Script and Google Workspace APIs. Knowledge of Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Drive, and other Google Workspace applications. Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and RESTful APIs. Problem-solving skills and the ability to design efficient and effective solutions. Attention to detail and commitment to writing clean, well-documented code. Understanding of data handling, manipulation, and storage within Google Workspace products. Excellent communication skills to work effectively with team members and end-users.
