The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Compute team is seeking a passionate, experienced software Developer ready to tackle complex business and technical challenges in a fast-paced environment. As OCI continues to scale to demands of an ever-growing customer base and regions, we need engineers who can lead complex initiatives to ensure OCI continues to provide an outstanding customer experience while continuously improving the efficiency of development processes. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in the face of ambiguity and can quickly distill abstract ideas into concrete solutions and has a proven track record of delivering complex solutions across a large-scale environment.



As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering 3-5 years relevant experience Hands-on experience in Java/Go, Data Structures, Kubernetes, TerraForm. Strong experience with cloud architecture. Understanding of software engineering principles - version control, modular design, CI/CD, and testing frameworks. Hands-on experience with micro-service in OCI or in AWS, Azure, or Google cloud. Solid analytical, planning, and interpersonal skills with an ability to handle competing demands.

Experience with cloud services, virtualization, or SaaS products Self-driven problem solver; able to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, ambiguous, and customer-focused environment Highly analytical, technically proficient, and able to learn new tools and software quickly Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate (oral and written) at different levels in the org Experience using agile software development practices and associated tooling Exposure to Kafka, Prometheus, Databses * Experience with Jira, Confluence, BitBucket
