Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is building a platform to manage the full lifecycle of internal libraries-from creation and qualification to consumption and deprecation. This role focuses on architecturing scalable governance mechanisms that ensure only compliant, secure, and approved libraries are used across OCI services.
As a key contributor, you will drive the design and implementation of systems for build-time validation, policy enforcement, and adoption visibility. You will work closely with service teams, infrastructure engineers, and compliance stakeholders to operationalize standards that prevent the use of deprecated or non-compliant libraries-minimizing manual remediation, improving service reliability, and mitigating risks that impact customers.
This role plays a critical part in enhancing development quality and reinforcing the operational resilience of the entire OCI ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
As an individual contributor, you will play a key role in building OCI's library lifecycle governance systems. You will focus on hands-on development of tooling that enforces build-time policy compliance and provides visibility into the usage and health of internal libraries across OCI. This role requires strong technical execution and close collaboration with partner teams to ensure successful adoption.
Key responsibilities include:
Design and implement build-time validation checks to block the use of deprecated, unqualified, or non-compliant libraries.
Develop automation to surface qualification status, usage metrics, and health indicators for internal libraries.
Integrate governance tooling into CI/CD pipelines across OCI services.
Collaborate with service teams, CI/CD platform engineers, and compliance stakeholders to roll out and refine governance features.
Contribute to technical design discussions, code reviews, and documentation to ensure robustness and maintainability.
Monitor adoption and usage patterns to identify gaps and drive continuous improvement of the system.
