We are responsible for providing fast, clean, reliable, and relevant data for Yahoo\xe2\x80\x99s advertising businesses as well as key measurements and insights about Yahoo users. We are developing next generation technologies to enrich our advertiser and user experience through complex, scalable data platforms, with ever growing and interesting challenges.We are actively seeking candidates located in Hyderabad for this position.Responsibilities include:Build highly scalable, high performance and stable advertising experienceWork closely with product managers to understand the business requirements, translate them into design and implementation approaches, and rapidly drive convergence towards the best solutionEngineer the full product lifecycle, from concept, design, through maintenance, managing prioritization and trade-offs across functional domainsHands-on coding: Develop and maintain high quality code base, consistently delivering challenging, stable, and maintainable projects on scheduleExploring large data sets for relationships, insights, and anomaliesParticipate in understanding customer\'s feedback and fix issues reported by customersAdopt and improve best practices to foster rapid ways of software development and prototypingMaintain coding and documentation standards, participate in code reviewsMentor and provide technical leadership for junior engineersAutomate deployments using Continuous Delivery and Integration pipelinesProvide regular updates to management on project statusJob Qualifications3 to10+ years of industry experience as a data engineer or in a similar roleGood experience designing and programming in JavaBachelors/Masters in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.Good knowledge of data structures, common algorithms, and time-complexity of algorithmsExperience with design and implementation of distributed systemsExperience in big data technologies such as Hadoop Map-Reduce, Apache Spark, Druid, ElasticSearch, PIG, HBase, or HiveExperience designing and programming in JavaUnderstanding and experience with UNIX and/or Shell scriptingDatabase and SQL understandingMust have good object-oriented programming, design and debugging skillsExperience with continuous delivery and continuous integration tools such as Screwdriver, Jenkins, etcExperience with cloud infrastructure like AWS, Docker, Kubernetes containersMust have strong verbal and written communication skills and analytical and problem solving skillsExcellent team player with strong collaboration skillsShould have a strong sense of commitment and responsibilityYahoo is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
