Responsibilities
As a designer on our team, you will:
- Deliver design and innovation across one or more facets of the design process, including sketching, prototyping, storyboarding, information architecture, interaction design, and usability.
- Use and contribute to Microsoft\xe2\x80\x99s design patterns.
- Partner closely with PM and Engineering counterparts and work in an iterative manner, scoping and prioritizing work across multiple projects.
- Be an advocate for the user and champion industry-leading, inclusive, and user-centered design practices.
- Strong practical knowledge of user-centered design methods and usability principles
- Experience working on a multi-disciplinary team of designers, PMs, and developers.
- Track record of creating or improving product user experience
- Ability to think creatively and critically about design problems.
- Demonstrated ability to create design solutions from ambiguous and complex concepts.
- Enthusiasm for an iterative design process
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present your work to peers across disciplines.
- Fluent in current design tools (Figma, Adobe CC, etc.)
- Experience designing for enterprise products, specifically of a commerce or consumer goods industry.
- Familiarity with Independent Software Vendors (ISVs)
- Experience producing functional prototypes.
A portfolio review presentation is required to interview for this role. Your presentation should communicate your work experience and demonstrate your design and communication skills.
