Your Role and Responsibilities
Maintains application systems that have completed the development stage and are being used in the daily operations
Manages, maintains, and supports applications and their operating environments, focusing on stability, quality, and functionality against service level expectations.
Monitor the applications for issues and Performance
Driving complex and major incidents to resolution by owning the incident end to end
Guide team on complex issues by providing required technical and functional inputs
Engage in production support activities
Develop solutions on automation & reliability
Refactor the codes for application modernization
Identification of gaps in the existing alerting & monitoring followed by deep instrumentation to rationalize / reduce false alerts.
Driving continual service improvements across the applications in scope
Capacity & Demand Management
Implement self-healing to remove any manual intervention for incident recovery
Develop and maintain technical support documentation.
Identifies ways to maximize the potential of the applications used
Assess risk and impact of production issues and escalate to business and technology management in a timely manner.
Formulates and defines scope and objectives for complex application enhancements and problem resolution
Reviews and develops application contingency planning to ensure availability to users.
Partners with appropriate development and production support areas to prioritize bug fixes and support tooling requirements.
Participate in application releases, from development, testing and deployment into production.
Engages in post implementation analysis to ensure successful system design and functionality.
Ensures essential procedures are followed and helps to define operating standards and processes.
Expected to be able to raise problems to appropriate technology and business teams, while adhering to Service Level Agreements.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Engineering Graduates
4-15 years of experience in an IT application support environment supporting critical business applications.
Deep knowledge of infrastructure landscapes including underlying infrastructure concepts
Experience implementing and integrating enterprise systems on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure
Must be prepared to be on call after hours from time-to-time
Strong understanding of any one domain in BFSI or health care industry
Ability to visualize clients requirements and articulate solutions options.
Good understanding of logical applications functional flow.
Strong middleware, Database knowledge
Proficient in coding preferably on Java, NodeJS, Python, JavaScript etc.
Strong Unix and shell scripting skills,
Ability to debug web-based solutions on both client and server sides would be a skill of the preferred candidate
Having hands on experience with designing and developing microservices.
Exposure or hands on experience with SOC2, PCI, and HIPPA compliance.
Research and identify solutions on platform issues in conjunction with application issues Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
Working Knowledge on Linux, Kubernetes, and Cloud Platforms
Enterprise Monitoring Tools for infrastructure and applications (New-Relic, AppDynamics and Datadog)
Hands on experience on Continuous Integration / DevOps tools & techniques
Hands on development experience with SOAP, REST APIs, API Gateway, Python Django, Spring-boot
Experience in application testing skills unit, functional, load and integration testing
Knowledge of TCP/IP networking like routing, firewalls, load balancers, DNS, VLANs
Knowledge of Access Management & Security Protocols (AWS-IAM, Azure AD), SSL Certificate/Key Management, OAuth, SAML and PKI Required Education
