Role Overview:

We are looking for a new team member who is passionate about SRE, has a strong interest in cyber security and data protection, and wants to join our collaborative team as a Software Apps Engineer to help drive the high quality of our corporate encryption product family.

Working in a 24/7 support environment as part of the SRE team, you will be required to perform day-to-day operations by following the incident management, change management, and release management processes and work in coordination with the core DevOps architect team to facilitate multiple projects. You will be responsible for maintaining service availability through continuous monitoring, deployment, and configuration of production databases and applications.

This is a remote position in India. We will only consider candidates currently in India and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.

About the role:

• Identify and correct the root cause of various system alarms. recommend changes to avoid their recurrence.
• Working in AWS cloud computing platform and many dimensions of scalability including EC2, S3, EBS, VPC, ELB, AMI, SNS, RDS, IAM, Route 53, Auto scaling.
• experience in SQL Server administration and experience implementing advanced concepts like SQL clusters (2016aAEURA"2019) and the recovery of databases with no or minimal data loss.
• Enterprise Management and High Availability: Troubleshoot replication performance issues and clustering performance issues.
• ability to design and deploy new database servers according to the client's requirements.
• excellent command on all versions of Windows servers. good understanding of various patch level compatibilities with database releases.
• Good scripting knowledge to implement DB related scripts/jobs. has designed and implemented security and auditing standards for large databases.
• Design and implement various backup and recovery strategies on heterogeneous environments and Instance availability and the space availability of disk drives and file systems.
• Independently tune SQL databases to extract the best performance, including memory, OS, and SQL tuning. knowledge of Oracle databases.
• Deploy code updates into test and production environments and work to roll those environments forward.

About You:

• should have at least 5 years of IT experience providing infrastructure automation services within private and public clouds, and out of that, at least 3 yearsaAEURA(TM) experience in MySQL DB.
• should be well versed in cloud technology, mainly AWS, and actively participate in AWS migration tasks and automation.
• should have experience looking at availability, latency, performance, efficiency, monitoring, emergency response, and disaster response.
• should have experience working with release engineers to ensure that the software delivery is as efficient as possible.
• should be available to resolve technical issues and manage on-call duty.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts.
