This is a Software License and Hardware asset manager role at global reporting to Functional Lead and Site Business leader in Process Automation Business Area, based out of Vadodara; India. You will be primarily responsible for applying IT knowledge and expertise to help solve complex technical or professional activities. The Specialist is a key resource, a definitive source of knowledge about services and solutions, who contributes their expertise to enhance organizational efficiency and support the organization’s vision and strategic direction.


Your responsibilities

• Maintaining software publisher licensing information for the assigned publishers ie, both entitlements and deployments and analyzing software licensing agreements, creating entitlements summary, and summarizing use right information from software agreements.
• Update software entitlement and agreement information into the SAM tool and maintain software installation records in the SAM tool.
• Performing license reconciliation in SAM tool: Respond to customer queries on software licensing.
• Software license compliance auditing and tracking the closures of software installations, raising uninstallation tickets of unused software, and tracking their closures.
• Managing software renewals of major software and working on engagements around software license compliance reviews including asset, Identification, data collection, data analysis, and reporting.
• Experience interpreting licensing terms and conditions, licensing knowledge, and product use rights for defined software titles. Along with contract analysis and negotiation skills.
• Responsible for reporting/analyzing software installations versus software licenses.
• Responsible for reporting analysis that assists with the management of maintenance, support, and license renewals in advance of their expiration.
• Interprets performance metrics, performs root cause analysis, assesses consequences, identifies solutions to issues and problems, and resolves deviations 1 | Software License Manager.
• Demonstrates an analytical and systematic approach to problem-solving.
• Responsible for providing inputs on delivery, service offer design, of all aspects of Software Asset and License Management such as discovery, tracking, reporting, auditing, compliance, and renewal, in line with the business objectives.
• Work with client-facing teams to influence subscription license sales, provide educational inputs and act as SPOC for all licensing-related technical queries.
• Understand Software Asset Management and Software Licensing policies and standards to ensure legal, security, contractual, and regulatory compliance and advise accordingly for service offer development.

• Bachelors degree and relevant experience.
• Excellent command over software licensing and use rights information of at least 2 tier 1 software publishers ie, Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, VMware, Adobe, Citrix, and SAP.
• Experience working on at least one or more SAM Tools ie, ServiceNow SAMPro, Flexera, and SNOW License Manager.
• Detailed understanding of a broad range of Hardware, Software, and Configuration operating models Hands-on experience in a Software Asset Management platform preferred.
• Knowledge of different licensing models Perpetual, Right To Use, End-User, Subscription, Enterprise Agreements, etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Sound knowledge of relevant supply chain management methodologies and toolsets.
