Purpose of this Position:



The role of the Social Worker is to facilitate holistic and comprehensive rehabilitation services to homeless young women and trans and non-binary youth, develop programs, resources and formulate rehabilitation and development plans to support them in their journey towards self-reliance and life of dignity.

Rehabilitation



1. Case work

Rapport building with participants and orientation of participants about the rehabilitation process Catering to critical needs appropriately and immediately with participants. Conduct case work sessions as per the guideline to take their detailed case history and do a complete needs assessment to identify the immediate and long term case interventions. Working with participants in goal setting and following up with the participants based on their needs bi-weekly or as needed. Create long-term development case plans as well as weekly development case plans. Coordination with other teams and follow up of interventions with livelihood, health care, legal and civil assistance, education and vocational training as per the as per the guideline. Gathering relevant information on the participants and trace back their families. Plan sessions with the stakeholders associated with participants as per the requirement. Conducting home visits to assess if participants may return home safely. Discussing with the participants and their families about restoration and in some cases, escorting the participants back home when necessary. Follow up with necessary support to alumni participants and provide necessary services in case of emergency. Ensuring follow up of physical, mental and sexual health issues are being addressed and attending medical check ups when necessary. Supporting legal interventions by conducting meetings and following up with advocates and ensuring court attendance. Managing civil/individual identity and important documents of participants. To connect the participants with needed and available community resources. Creating a personal plan for development on a case-by-case basis including education (formal/informal) or occupational training. Working closely with existing service providers, including schools, training facilities and employers to engage girls in education, training and employment
2. Documentation and Monitoring & Evaluation

Filling out intake sheets for the participants and other case related documents online and offline Maintaining an inventory of the participants' belongings and documents when necessary. Documenting and updating participants' medical information, mental health and family restoration plans. Attending case management meetings to present cases and give suggestions for other cases. Monitoring needs fulfillment and needs development. Writing a monthly report of activities to the Case Management Manager Documentation of care narrations, rehabilitation and development plans, yearly planning and reporting of visits and meetings.
3. Other tasks

Informing, guiding and educating participants towards their advancement and growth wherever possible Initiating steps to ensure the responsiveness and relevance of policies, procedures, programs or practices on local and external level Engaging in research and documenting data pertaining to participants and wider issues. Building a network with external stakeholders from governmental and non-governmental organisations Attending meetings, workshops and transferring the learning with peers.

Eligibility:



2+ years of experience of working with women and youth from marginalized community Understanding of gender-based violence, emotional and physical trauma, marginalization based on caste, gender MSW/BSW or combination of relevant experience and education to effectively perform the position's expectations is preferred Women, trans, and non-binary individuals over 25 years of age are preferred Proficiency in Marathi, Hindi, and/or English is required. Must reside in Mumbai.

Pay: ?25,000.00 - ?45,000.00 per month
