Taru Leading Edge (Taru) is a development advisory and think tank with trans-disciplinary expertise endeavoring to engage with development sector challenges by offering a commitment to cutting-edge solutions and insights. Established in 1996, it caters to a diverse range of bilateral and multilateral agencies, government departments, corporates, and other development organizations through research, technology, solution innovations, and implementation support.

For more than two decades, Taru has been working on a range of institutional, financial, economic, social, and technical issues across diverse public systems, cultures, and corporate formations in more than a third of the rural and urban domains of India and internationally. Taru provides services in development sectoral areas such as climate change, disaster, urban, water, sanitation, CSR, social business, health & nutrition, education, gender, livelihoods, social inclusion, public policy, infrastructure planning, etc.

About the work from home job/internship

We currently have two internships open with us:

1. Social Work Background: where females should only apply.
2. Climate background

Selected intern\'s day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Conduct both secondary and primary research and technical assistance to develop documents
2. Support and lead in project implementation, project documents and reports, and monitoring of activities and milestones, wherever necessary
3. Writing project reports and conducting analyses based on research
Any other related activities, as assigned.

Requirements:

1. Students and freshers can apply
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
3. Aligning work style with established work culture and leadership team
4. High personal & professional integrity
5. Meet timelines and deadlines as per the requirement
6. Problem-solving attitude.
7. Good analytical, and knowledge management skills including report writing and presentation skills
8. Masters in Social Work/ Sociology or any other related discipline for Social Work
9. Educational background in environment/climate-related discipline for the Climate Change opening
