Position Summary:

We are looking for a committed and knowledgeable Social Science Teacher to handle Middle School classes (Grades 5 to 8 - CBSE). The ideal candidate should be able to bring history, geography, civics, and economics alive in the classroom through engaging teaching methods, while also participating in the academic and residential life of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach Social Science subjects (History, Geography, Civics, Economics) for Classes 5 to 8 as per the CBSE curriculum. Design and deliver lesson plans that encourage critical thinking, discussion, and real-world connections. Organize classroom activities, projects, and assessments to deepen understanding. Guide students in research, presentations, and interdisciplinary projects. Provide additional academic support and remedial sessions as needed. Supervise and support students during evening prep time in the residential setting. Participate in school events, field trips, and co-curricular activities. Take part in residential duties including dormitory supervision, student mentoring, and other responsibilities as per schedule.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's/Master's Degree in History, Geography, Political Science, or related field along with a B.Ed. (mandatory). 2-4 years of teaching experience at the middle school level (CBSE preferred). Prior experience in a residential school is an added advantage. Strong communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills. Enthusiastic approach to teaching and student engagement, both inside and outside the classroom.
