Position Overview

Kids Club International School, Tiruppur is looking for a passionate and dynamic

Social Studies Teacher

to handle Classes VI-X under the International Curriculum. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge in History, Geography, Civics, and Global Studies, along with experience in activity-based, discussion-oriented teaching aligned with international standards.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning

Teach

History, Geography, Civics, and Social Sciences

for Classes VI-X as per international curriculum frameworks (Cambridge/IGCSE/IB-style). Prepare engaging lesson plans that include discussions, projects, research tasks, multimedia presentations, and real-world case studies. Foster critical thinking, global awareness, and cultural understanding. Use inquiry-based learning, collaborative activities, and debates.

Assessment & Evaluation

Develop formative and summative assessments aligned with international benchmarks. Grade assignments, projects, presentations, and written assessments. Maintain accurate academic records and provide constructive feedback. Train students in map reading, data interpretation, analysis, and higher-order thinking.

Classroom Management

Ensure a supportive, inclusive, and multicultural learning environment. Encourage student participation, curiosity, and respectful discussions. Provide additional academic support to students when needed.

Curriculum & Academic Contribution

Participate in curriculum planning and interdisciplinary activities. Integrate global issues, world cultures, and current events into lessons. Plan and guide students for exhibitions, Social Science fairs, and presentations. Create opportunities for experiential learning (field trips, virtual tours, model UN, etc.).

Co-curricular & School Activities

Organize Social Studies-related activities like quizzes, debates, mock parliament, cultural events, and heritage projects. Participate in school assemblies, events, and celebrations. Attend workshops, training sessions, and professional development programs.

Qualifications & Skills

B.A / M.A in History, Geography, Political Science, or Social Science

(or equivalent).

B.Ed

preferred. Experience with international schools/curriculums (Cambridge/IB/IGCSE) is an advantage. Strong command over English language and clear communication skills. Ability to teach through discussions, case studies, role-plays, and digital tools.
