Lesson planning

: Designing lessons that meet school and state requirements, and are based on student interests, needs, and strengths

Teaching

: Delivering lessons in an engaging way, and reviewing textbook material with students

Assessing

: Writing and proctoring quizzes and exams, grading assignments, and providing feedback
Social studies teachers typically have a bachelor's degree in education or a social studies field, and a valid teaching license. They should have excellent communication skills, and be able to inspire and motivate students
