Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Teach Social Studies to Grades 3-5 as per CBSE syllabus, textbooks, and learning outcomes. Plan and implement structured lesson plans using activity-based, experiential, and inquiry-driven methods. Introduce students to basic concepts of History, Geography, Civics, and Environmental Studies. Encourage critical thinking through discussions, projects, map work, timelines, and case studies. Integrate art integration, local context, and real-life examples into lesson delivery. Conduct formative and summative assessments as per CBSE assessment guidelines. Design worksheets, projects, models, and presentations to reinforce learning. Maintain accurate records of student progress, assessments, and attendance. Identify learning gaps and provide remedial support and enrichment activities. Foster values such as citizenship, responsibility, empathy, and respect for diversity. Create a safe, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment. Communicate regularly with parents regarding academic progress and behaviour. Participate in school activities, assemblies, field visits, competitions, and professional development programs. Collaborate with teachers for interdisciplinary and project-based learning. Adhere to school policies, child safety norms, and professional ethics.

Educational Qualifications (As per CBSE Norms):

Bachelor's Degree

in Social Studies / History / Geography / Civics or related discipline

B.Ed

(mandatory)/ M.Ed/ M.A

Experience:

1-3 years

of teaching experience in primary/upper primary classes preferred Freshers with strong subject knowledge and teaching aptitude may apply
