We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Department (Social Studies) with a Master's degree in Economics to lead the department and deliver high-quality instruction across CBSE Grades 9-12.

Key Requirements & Responsibilities

Academic & Subject Expertise

Master's Degree in Economics (mandatory) Strong command over CBSE Social Studies curriculum for Grades 9 & 10
(History, Geography, Political Science, Economics)

Proven experience in teaching Economics for Grades 11 & 12 (CBSE) In-depth knowledge of CBSE curriculum framework, assessment patterns, and board examination requirements
Teaching & Pedagogy

Ability to plan and deliver concept-driven, exam-oriented, and competency-based lessons Effective implementation of NEP 2020-aligned pedagogy Expertise in question paper setting, blueprints, rubrics, and answer key preparation Strong focus on concept clarity, analytical skills, and application-based learning
Leadership & Departmental Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and monitor Social Studies faculty Oversee lesson planning, syllabus completion, assessments, and result analysis Ensure alignment with CBSE academic standards and timelines Guide teachers in innovative teaching strategies and classroom practices Coordinate departmental meetings, audits, and academic reviews
Assessment & Academic Planning

Plan and supervise periodic assessments, term exams, and board exam preparation Conduct remedial and enrichment programmes Analyse student performance data and implement improvement strategies
Communication & Collaboration

Excellent communication skills for interaction with students, parents, teachers, and school leadership Active participation in CBSE trainings, workshops, and academic initiatives Collaboration with other departments for interdisciplinary learning
