JOB SUMMARY

The Social Science Faculty is responsible for teaching and facilitating learning in social science disciplines such as

History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, Sociology

, and other related subjects. The role focuses on developing students' critical thinking, analytical skills, and understanding of society, culture, and civic responsibilities.

Responsibilities & Duties

Teaching & Instruction

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards. Teach social science subjects (History, Geography, Civics/Political Science, Economics, Sociology) at appropriate academic levels. Use diverse instructional techniques (discussions, projects, multimedia, group activities) to reinforce learning. Integrate current events and real-world issues into classroom discussions to make learning relevant.

Assessment & Evaluation

Design, administer, and grade assessments, assignments, projects, and examinations. Provide timely, constructive feedback to students on academic progress. Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and student performance.

Classroom & Student Support

Foster an inclusive, respectful classroom environment that encourages participation and critical inquiry. Support students' individual learning needs and offer additional help or resources when needed. Encourage students' holistic development -- including civic awareness, ethical judgment, and social responsibility.

Collaboration & Professional Development

Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, cross-subject projects, and school/department initiatives. Participate in departmental meetings, teacher training, and professional development sessions. Communicate with parents/guardians and educational stakeholders about student progress and classroom activities.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: ₹150,000.00 - ₹200,000.00 per year
