Job Title: Social Science Teacher

Qualification:

B.A / M.A in Social Science (History / Geography / Civics / Economics)

Mandatory: B.Ed

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Social Science Teacher to teach middle and/or secondary classes. The candidate must have a strong academic background, effective classroom management skills, and good spoken English.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach Social Science subjects (History, Geography, Civics, Economics) as per the prescribed syllabus

Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons

Ensure conceptual clarity and encourage critical thinking among students

Use innovative teaching methods, including activities, maps, charts, and digital resources

Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, and assessments

Evaluate students' academic progress and maintain records

Participate in school activities, staff meetings, and professional development programs

Maintain discipline and create a positive learning environment

Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues in English

Required Skills & Competencies:

B.Ed is compulsory

Good command of spoken and written English

Sound knowledge of Social Science curriculum

Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills

Passion for teaching and student development

Ability to use technology in teaching (smart board, PPTs, etc.)

Preferred Qualities:

Experience in teaching state Board syllabus

Ability to handle activity-based and project-based learning

Commitment to continuous learning and improvement
