Key Responsibilities:
Teach Social Science subjects (History, Geography, Civics, and Economics) as per the curriculum.
Prepare and deliver well-structured lessons using a variety of instructional methods.
Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments tailored to students' needs.
Use maps, models, charts, and digital tools to make lessons interactive and engaging.
Foster a classroom environment that promotes curiosity, inquiry, and respect for diverse perspectives.
Conduct assessments and provide regular feedback on student performance.
Prepare students for internal and board examinations (if applicable).
Organize and oversee activities such as field trips, debates, and exhibitions related to Social Science.
Maintain records of student progress, attendance, and academic performance.
Participate in school meetings, professional development, and parent-teacher conferences.
Promote values of citizenship, democratic responsibility, and global awareness.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in History, Geography, Political Science, or related field.
B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is
mandatory
.
2-5 years of teaching experience at middle or secondary level (preferred).
Sound knowledge of the school curriculum (CBSE/ICSE/State Board).
Strong communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
Ability to integrate technology and current affairs into lessons effectively.
Fluent in English and Hindi (as per medium of instruction).
Preferred:
Experience teaching in a CBSE/ICSE-affiliated school.
Ability to use digital tools like smartboards, Google Classroom, or LMS platforms.
Participation in Social Science-related clubs, MUNs, or student civic engagement activities.
