We are looking for a creative, data-driven Social Media Manager to run our social media presence and growth efforts. You will help plan, execute and optimize our social channels to build our brand, engage users and merchants, support user acquisition & retention, and reinforce airpay's fintech/ payments leadership. You'll be hands-on with content creation, community management, performance tracking, and campaign execution.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
Contribute to the social media strategy that aligns with business goals (brand awareness, merchant sign-ups, customer growth, retention)
Develop a social content calendar with themes (topical and moment, product updates, stories, activation, culture), and select formats (posts, reels, stories, videos)
Stay on top of social trends, new channels/formats and propose experiments
Content Creation & Channel Execution
Create or coordinate compelling content (static posts, short-form video, stories, captions) tailored for various platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Reddit, Quora)
Ensure brand voice and visual identity are consistent across social channels
Schedule posts, manage channel publishing, ensure timely delivery of content
Community & Engagement
Monitor and engage with our social audience: respond to comments, DMs, mentions, manage brand sentiment
Grow and nurture our online community of users, merchants, advocates
Use social listening to pick up feedback, sentiment, trending topics, and feed insights to Marketing/Product
Paid Social & Influencer Support
Assist in the planning & execution of social paid campaigns in collaboration with Growth/Paid team (budget, targeting, creative)
Help identify and manage influencer/creator collaborations (micro or macro) to amplify brand reach
Analytics & Optimization
Track key social KPIs: follower growth, engagement rate, reach/impressions, click-throughs, conversions
Analyse performance data using platform analytics & tools, pull insights and optimise content/campaigns accordingly
Prepare periodic reports for the marketing leadership with actionable insights
Collaboration & Operations
Work cross-functionally with Content, Design, Growth, Product, Sales teams to ensure social efforts align with broader marketing and product roadmap
Manage vendors or agency support if needed (for video, motion, influencer partnerships)
Maintain asset libraries, documentation (brand/social guidelines), and ensure social content processes are efficient
Brand Governance
Ensure social content meets brand standards, regulatory/fintech constraints (e.g., payments/financial services compliance)
Be alert to reputational risk and ensure appropriate responses or escalation for negative comments or issues
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field.
Experience: 2 - 4 years in social media / digital marketing (within consumer tech/fintech or fast-moving environment preferred)
Strong creative portfolio: social channel content (posts, videos, stories, reels), influencer/creator collaborations.
Skills And Experience
Good knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube) including best practices/trends in the Indian market.
Experience with scheduling/tools, analytics platforms, and/or paid social support.
Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills; ability to guide or produce visual content in collaboration with design team.
Analytical mindset: comfortable with data, metrics, and optimization.
Strong project/ time-management skills: ability to manage multiple campaigns/assets across channels.
Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally.
