Social Media Strategist - Job Roles and Responsibilities 1. Strategy and Planning Develop data-driven social media strategies aligned with brand goals such as awareness, engagement, or lead generation. Identify target audiences, platform trends, and content opportunities. Create monthly and quarterly content calendars and campaign roadmaps. Research competitors and industry trends to refine social media direction. 2. Creative Campaign Development Conceptualize innovative campaigns, storytelling ideas, and platform-specific strategies for Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and others. Collaborate with designers, writers, and video editors to produce engaging content. Ensure all content reflects brand tone, voice, and visual identity. 3. Analytics and Performance Track and analyze engagement metrics, reach, and conversions across platforms. Optimize strategies based on performance insights such as best posting times and audience behavior. Prepare monthly reports using tools like Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, or Hootsuite. 4. Community and Engagement Manage online communities by responding to comments, messages, and mentions. Identify and collaborate with influencers, creators, and partners for campaigns. Monitor audience sentiment and ensure a positive brand image across all channels. 5. Brand Positioning and Innovation Explore new social media trends, tools, and emerging platforms. Work with the marketing and brand teams to ensure consistent messaging. Align social media efforts with broader marketing campaigns, events, and PR activities. 6. Team and Workflow Coordination Brief creative teams with campaign objectives and content guidelines. Manage timelines and coordinate content approvals for smooth execution. Support training and mentoring of junior social media team members.
