About the Role
Were looking for a Social Media Specialist to join our dynamic team! If you have a passion for social media, love working on compelling content, and are excited to contribute to the success of small businesses across the U.S., this is the perfect role for you.
As a Social Media Specialist, you will manage and create engaging content for various social platforms, work on visual design using Canva, and help shape the online presence of our clients. Youll also have the opportunity to cross-train in areas such as email marketing, Meta and Google Ads, brand guideline creation, and reputation management through our internal team rotations.
Key Responsibilities

• Content Creation

Develop engaging, high-quality social media posts for platforms like Facebook, Instagram and Google My Business.
Tailor content to match each clients brand voice, tone, and audience needs.

• Visual Design

Select and edit images for posts, using Canva to crop, resize, and optimize for social media.
Create simple graphics, text overlays, and custom designs to support content.

• Campaign Execution

Plan and implement on-demand promotional posts for clients to boost sales, promotions, and audience engagement.

• Cross-Functional Training

Gain hands-on experience across email marketing, brand guide development, Meta and Google Ads, and reputation management.

• Customer-Focused

Stay aligned with each clients unique brand values, ensuring all social media strategies are tailored to their goals.
Required Qualifications

• Experience: 25 years in social media content creation or digital marketing.

• Education: Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Marketing, Communications, Design, Journalism, English, or related field.

• Skills:

• Proficiency in Canva or similar graphic design tools.

• Strong command of U.S. English for writing, editing, and content creation.

• Excellent communication (both written and verbal), organizational, and time-management skills.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

• Flexibility to work night shifts when required.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in using social media management tools and analytics platforms.

• Familiarity with Generative AI tools like ChatGPT, Grok, Perplexity for content assistance.

• Exposure to paid advertising campaigns on social media platforms.
