We are seeking a
Social Media & Market Research Intern
who can blend creative content strategy with meticulous data collection to drive our organic growth and fuel our upcoming projects aimed at further empowering our community. This is a result-oriented role where your contributions will directly impact our brand's reach and strategic initiatives in the higher education space.
What You'll Do:
Organic Social Media Management:
Develop, curate, and schedule compelling and informative content (e.g., engaging text, eye-catching visuals, short-form videos like Reels/Shorts, carousels) for our key social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, X, YouTube), tailored to attract and retain students, educators, and professionals.
Implement and optimize
organic growth strategies
to significantly increase followers, reach, and engagement across all platforms without relying on paid advertising. This includes in-depth hashtag research, leveraging trending topics relevant to higher education, and actively fostering community interaction.
Monitor social media trends, algorithm updates, and competitor activities to ensure our content remains relevant, discoverable, and impactful.
Engage with our online community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions promptly and professionally, building a strong and interactive presence.
Analyze social media performance metrics (reach, impressions, engagement rate, follower growth, website clicks from social, etc.) and provide actionable insights to optimize future content and strategy.
Data Collection & Market Research for New Projects:
Assist in identifying and implementing efficient methodologies and sources for collecting relevant data for our upcoming educational and career development projects (e.g., market trends in higher education, student preferences, competitor analysis within ed-tech/counseling, industry reports, online surveys, qualitative interviews).
Systematically collect, organize, and verify data to ensure accuracy, integrity, and readiness for analysis.
Support in performing basic data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and key insights related to student needs, market gaps, or educational opportunities that will inform strategic decisions for new initiatives.
Prepare clear summaries or preliminary reports of collected data and findings for internal stakeholders.
What We're Looking For:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Digital Media, Business Analytics, Statistics, Education, or a related field.
Proven understanding of social media platforms
(especially Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook) and a genuine interest in
organic growth techniques
applied to educational content.
Experience with social media content creation tools
(e.g., Canva, CapCut, basic video editing apps, or photo editors) is a strong plus.
Strong analytical and research skills:
You should be comfortable collecting, organizing, and working with both quantitative and qualitative data, with excellent attention to detail.
Proficiency in
MS Excel/Google Sheets
for data management and basic analysis.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
in English, with the ability to craft engaging and informative content.
Results-oriented mindset
with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and solving problems, particularly in achieving measurable organic growth and delivering actionable data insights.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
Based in Alur, Tamil Nadu, or willing to relocate/commute. (If remote/hybrid options are available, specify here).
