Content Strategy & Planning
Develop monthly social media content calendars aligned with hostel activities, seasons, trends, and campaigns.
Strategically plan content to promote stays, events, cafe, yoga classes, and other services.
Align content with brand voice, tone, and visual identity.
Content Creation
Ideate and shoot photo & video content for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, and Reels.
Work with DSLR/smartphones to capture hostel life, views, guests, food, yoga sessions, etc.
Write captions and hashtags that drive engagement and communicate the brand story.
Platform Management
Manage and post regularly on Instagram, Facebook, Google My Business, YouTube Shorts, Pinterest (optional).
Ensure visual and messaging consistency across platforms.
Respond to comments, DMs, and mentions in a timely and friendly manner.
Community Engagement
Create polls, Q&As, stories, and interactive posts to engage the travel and backpacker community.
Initiate conversations and engage with travel pages, influencers, and potential partners.
Growth & Analytics
Track social media KPIs such as follower growth, reach, engagement rate, click-through rate, etc.
Create monthly performance reports and suggest improvements.
Monitor social media trends and competitor activities to stay ahead.
Collaborations & Campaigns
Identify and collaborate with travel influencers, content creators, and digital nomads.
Coordinate barter deals or paid partnerships to boost hostel visibility.
Plan and execute paid ad campaigns on Meta platforms (optional but preferred).
Support Offline Marketing
Cover events, workshops, and hostel activities for real-time stories and event recaps.
Liaise with the community manager to create buzz around happenings at the hostel.
Desired Skills & Experience:
2+ years of experience in social media management, preferably in travel, hospitality, or lifestyle brands.
Strong photography and videography skills (can shoot & edit Reels independently).
Proficiency in Canva, CapCut, InShot, or Adobe Creative Suite.
Excellent written English with creative copywriting ability.
Basic understanding of social media analytics and ad tools.
Passion for travel, backpacker culture, and creative storytelling.
