Social Media Manager - Airbnb Rentals & Brand Promotion

About the Role
We're looking for a creative and strategic Social Media Manager to oversee the online presence of our (UK & US) Airbnb rental properties and strengthen our brand identity. This role combines content creation, audience engagement, analytics, and brand storytelling to attract guests, drive bookings, and build a consistent brand voice across all platforms.
You will develop and execute social media strategies that highlight our properties, showcase local experiences, and connect with travelers in a way that reflects our brand personality and values.
Key Responsibilities
1. Content Creation & Strategy
Plan, create, and manage a monthly content calendar for Instagram, Facebook, and other relevant platforms.
Develop engaging visuals, short-form videos, reels, and written content that highlight properties, amenities, guest experiences, and local attractions.
Work closely with photographers, videographers, or use in-house tools to ensure high-quality visuals and storytelling.
Stay ahead of social media trends to incorporate fresh, creative ideas into campaigns.
2. Brand Promotion & Voice
Maintain a consistent brand voice, tone, and visual style across all platforms.
Develop creative campaigns to increase brand awareness, engagement, and direct bookings.
Collaborate with influencers, local businesses, and travel bloggers to amplify reach.
3. Engagement & Community Building
Respond promptly to comments, direct messages, and inquiries to foster relationships with past and potential guests.
Engage with local communities, travel enthusiasts, and followers to build a loyal and interactive audience.
Monitor brand mentions and guest-generated content to feature user stories and reviews.
4. Analytics & Reporting
Track and analyze key performance metrics, including engagement rates, reach, impressions, and follower growth.
Prepare monthly reports with insights and recommendations to improve performance.
Use data to inform future strategies and refine campaigns for better ROI.
5. Paid Campaigns (Optional but Preferred)
Assist in planning and running paid social media ads targeting travelers and potential guests.
Monitor ad performance and suggest budget adjustments for optimal results.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and emerging social platforms.
Proficiency with content creation tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or CapCut.
Excellent writing skills with the ability to craft compelling captions and brand stories.
Data-driven mindset with experience using analytics tools like Meta Insights, TikTok Analytics, or similar platforms.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple platforms and campaigns simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Previous experience in social media marketing for hospitality, travel, or short-term rentals.
Familiarity with (UK & US) Airbnb or similar platforms and knowledge of guest booking behaviors.
Experience with influencer marketing and collaborations.
Photography or video editing skills are a plus.
