Do you speak fluent meme? Can you spot a trend before it's trending? We're hunting for a Social Media Maverick who eats algorithms for breakfast and scrolls for research (not procrastination... mostly).
What you'll do:
Turn boring briefs into scroll-stopping posts.
Ride the wave of trending audio, memes, and challenges.
Cook up ideas that make people double-tap, share, and tag their friends.
Keep our brand voice witty, fun, and a little unpredictable.
Track what's hot, what's not, and what'll break the internet tomorrow.
What we're looking for:
A natural at spotting social media trends (before your friends send them to you).
Someone who understands Instagram, Twitter, Threads, YouTube, and TikTok like they're old friends.
Strong copy game - short, punchy, and meme-worthy.
A creative mind with a knack for making people smile, laugh, or say "same."
Basically, if you're the friend everyone asks "should I post this?" - this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement social media strategies to increase engagement, followers, and brand awareness.
Create compelling content, including copywriting for posts, articles, and campaigns that resonate with our political stance and audience.
Monitor social media trends and adapt strategies accordingly to stay relevant and impactful.
Collaborate with the team to plan and execute social media campaigns that align with our political objectives and messaging.
Engage with followers, respond to queries, and moderate discussions to foster a positive community.
Analyse social media metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust strategies as needed.
Stay updated on political developments and incorporate relevant insights into social media content.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Political Science, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Social Media Executive or similar role, with a portfolio showcasing successful campaigns and copywriting skills.
Strong understanding of social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn) and their analytics tools.
Excellent copywriting and communication skills, with the ability to craft messages that engage and persuade.
Interest or background in politics, with a good understanding of political issues and sensitivities.
Creative thinker with the ability to generate fresh ideas and concepts.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
