Role Overview
We're looking for a Social Media & Community Intern who understands how communities are built and sustained. This role focuses primarily on building an engaged Instagram community and supporting WhatsApp-based community groups for mobilisation, participation, and on-ground action.
Who You Are
A current university/college student (preferred).
Comfortable using Instagram to build conversations and trust, not just post content.
Familiar with WhatsApp groups, broadcasts, or communities and how people actually use them.
Strong written communication skills with a good sense of tone, clarity, and warmth.
Interested in climate, sustainability, or social impact.
Organised, proactive, and comfortable handling community interactions.
What You'll Do
Manage and grow Zephy's Instagram presence with a focus on engagement and community-building.
Create and schedule posts, stories, and reels related to climate learning, restoration, and participation.
Engage actively with followers through comments, DMs, polls, and interactive formats.
Support creation and moderation of WhatsApp groups or broadcast lists for volunteers and community members.
Help use WhatsApp for mobilisation around events, restoration challenges, and updates.
Maintain a friendly, respectful, and inclusive tone across all community interactions.
Track basic engagement metrics and community growth.
