The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for supporting the planning, creation, and execution of social media strategies across multiple platforms to increase brand awareness, engagement, and growth. This role involves content creation, scheduling, community management, performance tracking, and staying up to date with social media trends.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in developing and implementing social media strategies aligned with marketing goals.
Create engaging, high-quality content (text, image, and video) for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok.
Schedule, publish, and monitor posts across all social media channels.
Engage with the online community -- respond to comments, messages, and mentions promptly and professionally.
Track social media metrics and prepare regular performance reports using analytics tools.
Collaborate with designers, copywriters, and marketing team members to ensure consistent brand voice and visual identity.
Support paid social campaigns and influencer partnerships.
Research emerging trends, hashtags, and competitors to optimize social media strategies.
Maintain the social media content calendar and ensure timely execution of campaigns.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
1-2 years of experience managing social media accounts (internship or professional).
Strong understanding of major social platforms and social media analytics tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Basic graphic design or video editing skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, etc.) preferred.
Creative thinker with attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Later, Sprout Social).
Understanding of SEO and digital marketing principles.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
