Purpose Of Role:
BT in India, through its partnership with the British Asian Trust and charity partners is an award winning set of outcomes-driven projects that seeks to empower young people, with an emphasis on adolescent girls. The programmes utilise innovative interventions using technology to positively impact across four critical areas of a young person\'s life: education, health, agency and economic empowerment.
The role of the Responsible Business Professional is to support the successful delivery of projects in India through driving skills based employee engagement volunteering opportunities through interesting internal and external communications and events and engage key stakeholders to support BT\'s responsible business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
In collaboration with charity partners and key stakeholders, develop strategies for employee engagement which are relevant, high quality, scalable and advances BT Group\'s responsible business objectives in India
Create and developing a volunteer culture across BT Group companies in India through conceptualising and running communications, collateral, programs and events which support meaningful and impactful engagement
Identify new and develop existing relationships with corporate and charity partners, networks and organisations who can help drive volunteering and increase participations
Provide updates, briefings and measurements to ensure that local stakeholders are well informed and that engagement programmes deliver against expectations / KPIs
Produce internal and eternal communications collateral in support of the employee engagement plans
Work alongside internal and external communications teams across BT Group to promote engagement activities and outcomes to all stakeholders
Motivate and engage volunteers to support the program across multiple sites
Represent BT to external stakeholders and manage external relationships effectively so as to enhance BT\'s stature and negate risk to BTs reputation
Support other responsible business and social initiatives as identified or required by the business

Skills/Experience Necessary
This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate powerfully with others in India and the UK, internally and externally. Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
Passion and experience of working with and / or volunteering with Indian non-profit organisations
Basic knowledge of government legislation affecting the development sector particularly schemes pertaining to digital skills, youth and girls
Ability to conduct research, and analyse, audit and assess potential partner organisations
Ability to identify and engage key stakeholders at various levels internally and externally
Proven ability to communicate at all levels, internally and externally.
Ability to engage, motivate and lead large and disparate volunteer groups across the country and internationally
Strong personal commitment to the purpose and long term goals of the programmes
Willingness to travel regularly to BT India sites
Outstanding organisations skills and ability to influence and inspire people
Experience of conceptualising and running internal and external events, often at no/low cost
Eligibility Criteria:
Have excellent English communication skills
Have substantial practical experience of working closely with NGOs to the extent that they understand strategies, challenges and NGO success measures
Should have a good understanding of BT Group responsible business objectives
Should have a track record of managing stakeholders internally and externally both in UK and India
Great influencing and negotiation skills
Be a great team player, always working towards a common goal

The Sustainability Professional supports the execution of initiatives delivering against the Group\'s sustainability agenda, including quality, environment, social and sustainability obligations of the Group.
What you\'ll be doing
1. Supports the implementation of a sustainability strategy and supports the embedment of sustainability best practice across the business unit or organisation
2. Contributes to the best practice development based on the results of the internal sustainability footprint assessment and develops metrics of internal sustainability management.
3. Supports engagements with internal stakeholders to align the Group\'s current collaborative work with key external bodies.
4. Contributes to the delivery of reporting on sustainability trends against Group objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and provides recommendations to maximise positive impact and supports continued development.
5. Supports with data gathering, analysis and reporting, contributing to sustainability performance and progress against objectives and targets.
6. Supports the review of the impact of the Group\'s social responsibility programmes and activities for key stakeholders (e.g., employees, shareholders, communities).
7. Contributes to the tracking of regulatory developments relating to the broad classification of environmental and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) matters, including monitoring, reporting, assessing, lobbying and planning for implementation.
8. Supports in the implementation of ways to improve working processes within Sustainability.
