Job Description

Key Responsibilities:



Curriculum Delivery:


Develop and conduct structured SEL lessons as part of the Life Skills program, integrating core competencies such as self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making.

Integration with Academics:


Collaborate with subject teachers to embed SEL themes into everyday classroom practices and school culture.

Student Engagement:


Facilitate interactive and reflective activities including role-plays, storytelling, group discussions, journaling, and peer-sharing exercises.

Monitoring and Support:


Identify students requiring additional emotional or behavioural support and work in tandem with counsellors or special educators for timely intervention.

Parental Involvement:


Conduct parent workshops or sessions to educate and engage families in SEL initiatives at home.

Behaviour Management:


Promote and implement positive behaviour strategies in line with CBSE's School Health Programme and safe school policies.

Event Coordination:


Plan and organize SEL-related initiatives such as Wellness Weeks, Anti-Bullying Campaigns, Mental Health Days, and Peer Mentoring Programs.

Professional Development:


Stay updated on best practices in SEL and participate in capacity-building workshops mandated by CBSE or school management.

Qualifications and Skills:



Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, or related fields. Minimum 2-5 years of experience working in a school environment, preferably with CBSE curriculum exposure. Training or certification in SEL, life skills education, or counselling (e.g., from NCERT, CBSE, or other recognized organizations). Excellent communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills. Fluent in English; knowledge of Hindi and/or regional languages is a plus. Empathetic and student-centered approach.

Desirable Traits:



Experience in implementing CBSE's Health and Wellness curriculum or Adolescence Education Programme (AEP). Familiarity with inclusive education and working with children with diverse learning and emotional needs. Competence with digital tools to enhance SEL instruction and reporting.
