Role description

We are seeking a highly skilled Snowflake Developer with deep expertise in designing, developing, and optimizing data solutions using Snowflake combined with Azure hyperscaler capabilities. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in building scalable data pipelines, implementing advanced transformations, and leveraging Snowflake's capabilities for enterprise-grade analytics and reporting.

Skills

Design & Development

+ Develop and maintain Snowflake data warehouses, schemas, and objects. + Implement ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, or similar tools.
+ Optimize SQL queries and Snowflake performance (clustering, caching, micro-partitioning).

Integration & Architecture

+ Integrate Snowflake with Azure services (Blob Storage, Synapse, Key Vault). + Collaborate with architects to design secure, scalable data solutions.

Performance & Governance

+ Monitor and tune Snowflake workloads for cost efficiency and performance. + Implement data security, masking, and role-based access controls.

Collaboration

+ Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions. + Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Snowflake Expertise

+ Advanced knowledge of Snowflake architecture, features (Streams, Tasks, Time Travel), and best practices. + Strong proficiency in SQL and query optimization.

Azure Cloud

+ Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Blob Storage, and Azure DevOps. + Familiarity with Azure networking and security.

Data Engineering

+ Experience with ETL/ELT design, data modeling (star/snowflake schema), and data quality frameworks. + Knowledge of Python or Java for data processing is a plus.

Other

+ Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control. + Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Snowflake SnowPro Core Certification. Experience with Spark on Azure. Familiarity with Power BI.
