Pick & Place Operator ( Setup / Feeder & Changeover Technician)

Job Role:

Operates SMT component placement machines to accurately mount SMT components on PCBs, ensuring production targets, quality, and machine uptime.

Key Responsibilities:

Load feeders, reels, trays, and verify part numbers against the BOM.

Perform machine setup, program loading, and changeover procedures.

Calibrate feeders and maintain nozzles for optimal placement accuracy.

Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot placement errors. (missing, skewed, rotated, or misaligned components)

Verify first-article placement using AOI or manual inspection.

Refill components without stopping production flow.

Respond promptly to machine alarms and production stoppages.

Maintain organized feeder carts and ensure traceability of components.

Perform daily machine cleaning and preventive maintenance
