Job Summary

The SMT Machine Operator is responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining

SMTMATE surface-mount technology (SMT) machines

to assemble electronic components on PCBs. The role ensures high-quality PCB assembly, adherence to production schedules, and compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

SMT Machine Operation

Operate and monitor

SMTMATE SMT pick-and-place machines

during production runs Load programs, feeders, and components as per production plan Set up and change over jobs according to PCB models and BOMs Verify component placement accuracy and orientation

Production & Quality Control

Conduct

first article inspection

before mass production Monitor machine performance, placement accuracy, and cycle times Identify and correct placement defects (missing, skewed, tombstoning, polarity issues) Coordinate with QC for in-process and final inspections

PCB Assembly Process

Support

solder paste printing, stencil alignment, and reflow process

Assist in basic

reflow oven profile setting and monitoring

Handle PCB loading/unloading and material movement safely

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

Perform

basic machine maintenance and cleaning

as per SOP Identify machine alarms, feeder issues, and minor breakdowns Coordinate with maintenance/engineering team for major issues Maintain machine logs and downtime records

Material Handling & Documentation

Handle SMT components carefully as per

ESD and MSL guidelines

Maintain feeder setup lists, production reports, and rejection data Ensure proper storage and traceability of components and PCBs

Skills & Competencies

Hands-on experience in

SMTMATE SMT machines

(mandatory / preferred) Knowledge of

SMT process flow

: solder paste printing, pick & place, reflow Basic understanding of PCB, component packages (0402, QFN, SOP, etc.) Familiarity with

ESD practices and electronics manufacturing discipline

Ability to read BOM, PCB drawings, and placement files Willingness to work in shifts and meet production targets

Educational Qualification

ITI / Diploma in Electronics / Electrical / Mechatronics SMT machine operation certification is an added advantage Minimum 3+ years of experience in machine Operation
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?20,000.00 per month
