You will act as the domain expert for machinery, plant operations & production in construction projects.
The role involves translating real-world machinery & plant workflows into ERP system processes.
You will work closely with site teams, maintenance engineers, plant managers & ERP/software teams.
The objective is to ensure ERP workflows reflect actual on-ground construction & plant operations.
Key Responsibilities

1. Machinery / Equipment / Maintenance
Act as the SME for construction machinery maintenance including preventive, breakdown & corrective maintenance.
Define and map maintenance workflows into ERP such as:
Approval+ Maintenance / Reject
+ Material Requisition (MR)
+ Job Card / Service Bill creation
+ Store issue via MIN (Material Issue Note)
+ Reject loops & re-approvals
+ Accounting posting in Machinery P&L
+ Job sheets & reporting Define approval hierarchies, role-based access & maintenance request logic.
Ensure integration between:
+ Machinery usage logs & hour tracking
+ Fuel consumption & alerts
+ Spare parts inventory & stores
+ Accounts for maintenance cost posting Set up preventive maintenance schedules, inspection plans & service alerts.
Maintain complete machinery lifecycle logs from acquisition to retirement.
Generate reports on machine usage, downtime, fuel, maintenance cost, depreciation & performance.

2. Plant & Production Operations
Understand plant operations such as batching plants, concrete plants, prefabrication & production units.
Map production workflows including:
+ Raw material feeding
+ Production processes
+ Output generation
+ Quality checks & inspections
+ Dispatch & reconciliation Integrate production with inventory & project workflows.
Ensure wastage tracking, quality control & inspection steps are enforced in ERP.
Define planned vs actual production rules, variance tracking & reporting.
Support forecasting of plant utilization, capacity planning & bottleneck identification.

3. Client & Stakeholder Engagement
Interact with project teams, maintenance engineers, plant managers & site engineers.
Capture and document AS-IS processes and define TO-BE ERP workflows.
Support ERP implementation including UAT, user training & go-live assistance.
Collect feedback and suggest ERP enhancements or process improvements.

4. Training, Documentation & Support
Create SOPs, user manuals, training material & quick reference guides.
Conduct training sessions (onsite & virtual) for clients and internal teams.
Provide ongoing support for machinery & plant ERP modules.
Resolve transaction issues such as incorrect material issues or maintenance cost misallocations.
Skills & Knowledge Required
Strong hands-on experience in machinery & equipment maintenance in construction, infrastructure, mining or similar industries.
Solid understanding of plant operations & production workflows.
In-depth knowledge of preventive, corrective & breakdown maintenance processes.
Ability to convert operational workflows into structured ERP logic with approvals & controls.
Strong communication skills to coordinate between field teams & software developers.
Capability to document processes clearly and train users.
Basic understanding of accounting & cost impact of maintenance/production is an advantage.
Experience with ERP / asset management / plant management software is a plus.
Experience & Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Plant or Production Engineering.
7-10 years of experience in machinery, plant, maintenance or production roles.
Experience working with ERP/software teams or process optimization initiatives.
Prior involvement in implementing maintenance or plant control systems is a strong advantage.
