Role Purpose
The Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Personality Development is responsible for ensuring high-quality delivery of personality development courses designed to build confidence, communication, emotional intelligence, leadership, teamwork, etiquette, and overall character growth among students. The SME will design lesson plans, create engaging activities, train and certify trainers, monitor sessions for quality, and provide continuous subject expertise to improve learning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Course Implementation & Standardization
Develop content for courses related to personality development
Understand the personality development curriculum shared by the Academic Head/Manager.
Break down modules into trainer-friendly lesson plans and activity-based sessions.
Develop training aids including case studies, role plays, group activities, reflection sheets, and assessments.
Ensure standardization of delivery across all trainers and batches.
2. Trainer Training & Development
Conduct initial and refresher training for personality development trainers.
Train trainers in pedagogy, facilitation skills, and activity-based learning methods.
Provide clarifications on subject-related queries and teaching approaches.
Certify trainers through mock sessions, facilitation assessments, and performance reviews.
3. Trainer Scheduling & Assignment Support
Maintain a roster of certified personality development trainers with the Academic Manager.
Recommend trainer assignments based on strengths, expertise, and readiness.
Step in for demo or urgent backup sessions if required.
4. Quality Assurance
Conduct classroom observations of personality development sessions.
Provide structured feedback and coaching to improve trainer delivery.
Evaluate trainer effectiveness based on student engagement, parent feedback, and observed skill development (confidence, leadership, social skills).
Recommend updates to activities, curriculum flow, or methodologies as needed.
5. Reporting & Coordination
Submit weekly reports to the Academic Manager on:
Number of trainers trained and certified.
Quality checks completed.
Observed strengths and gaps in trainer performance.
Escalate subject or trainer-related challenges to the Academic Head via the Academic Manager.
System/CRM Responsibilities
Proof read uploaded personality development content, activities, and assessments.
Update trainer records (trained, certified, pending).
Enter trainer observation notes and quality check reports.
Maintain a skill matrix of trainers (strengths, gaps, readiness).
Track corrective training and improvement progress.
Qualifications & Skills
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Education, Communication, Human Resource Development, or related field.
Experience:
3+ years of experience in training or teaching personality development, life skills, or soft skills.
Experience in curriculum design, activity-based training, or trainer development preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong facilitation and mentoring skills.
Expertise in areas such as confidence building, leadership, etiquette, teamwork, and emotional intelligence.
Ability to design interactive activities, case studies, and role plays.
Excellent communication and observation skills.
Strong coaching ability to guide trainers towards improved delivery.
Proficient in using LMS/CRM systems for records and reporting.
