Job Title: LaTeX SME


Job Summary:


We are looking for an experienced LaTeX SME with deep, high-level knowledge of LaTeX, packages, and typesetting workflows. The ideal candidate should be capable of analyzing LaTeX packages, identifying workflow requirements, and coordinating with the Tech team to implement solutions. Strong knowledge of XML and content structuring is mandatory.


Key Responsibilities:

Provide expert-level support for LaTeX composition, templates, packages, and workflows. Analyze and evaluate LaTeX packages, macros, and class files to optimize production. Identify production requirements and raise technical requests or enhancements to the Tech team. Support the production team with troubleshooting, package conflicts, and error resolution. Ensure document structure, tagging, and metadata are properly handled using XML. Review and validate XML structure and ensure seamless LaTeX-XML integration. Maintain updated documentation of LaTeX workflows, templates, and best practices. Work closely with production, quality, and technical teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong, high-level, and hands-on knowledge of LaTeX/TeX (mandatory). Ability to analyze and interpret LaTeX packages, class files, and macros. Experience identifying technical issues and raising requests for workflow improvements. Mandatory experience in XML and structuring workflows. Understanding of typesetting, pagination, and scientific/STM content handling. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to provide technical guidance. * Strong communication and documentation skills.
